Wii Fit is a combination of fitness and fun, designed for everyone, young and old. By playing Wii Fit, you and your family can work towards getting in shape.
Wii Balance Board
If bought as a package, Nintendo Wii Fit comes with the Wii Balance Board accessory that was created to work with Wii Fit. It's an innovative peripheral for Wii that's simple, fun, and a great way to get you off of the couch and working out. The Wii Balance Board is a scale, but also a lot more. It can read your real-life movements and bring them to life on screen, just like the Wii Remote controller.
Your Progress
Check your daily progress in Wii Fit with easy-to-understand charts and graphs. There is an orange line you see in the center of the graph that represents your Body Mass Index (BMI), the first time you check it. From then on, it's easy to tell how you've done since you started using Wii Fit. You can also set goals, check your Wii Fit Age, and even enter exercise time you've done outside of Wii Fit to get credit for those workouts.
Balance is Key
Your center of balance, the point between your left and right sides when you are standing upright, has a lot to do with your basic health. Those without an even center of balance will be unnaturally compensating for this imbalance, which causes their posture to become misaligned, increasing the possibility of putting unnecessary strain on the body. Wii Fit can help you learn more about your balance, and give you tips on how to improve it. It's like your own personal trainer at home.
Take A Body Test
Wii Fit says it works best if you perform a Body Test every day. In this test, you'll use the Wii Balance Board accessory to measure your center of balance, Body Mass Index (BMI), and body control. Based on these results, you can also determine your Wii Fit Age. Much like Brain Age, you can chart your daily progress and compare it against previous results, as well as other friends and family who play Wii Fit.
Get Training
Nintendo Wii Fit includes four training modes and more than 40 exercises and activities designed to help improve body balance and fitness. So, getting bored is not an option. There are modes for Yoga, Balance Games, Strength Training, and Aerobics.
