First of all, I hate the guy that feels that he has to wear his little bluetooth earpiece everywhere he goes. As if he's going to get a call any minute, and he has to be ready. There's something about seeing a guy with that little blue light snapped to his ear that just bugs me.
OK, now that I got that out of the way, I have to tell you that I've been headset perplexed. Those little ear pieces just don't do it for me. They fall off...I can't hear them that well. I struggle to have it sit the right way on my ear. If you're like me, you want substance.
Well, I found my substance in the MotoRokr S9 headset. This is no flimsy earpiece. It's actually a stereo headset, that wraps around the back of your head, and sits in both ears. No fumble, no blue-light special. But here's what I like.
It's easy to connect. Just press a little button in the back and it connects to your phone (after an easy initial set-up). A steady blue light says it's on. When you're done, hit the same button , and it's off. It's easy to charge, and lasts for 7 hours of talk on a single charge. It sits easily around your neck, and around your ears. And, it's water and sweat resistant, in case you accidentally drive into a nearby watering hole.
The only thing that drove me nuts for about two days is that, while it fits in both ears, you'll only hear your phone thru your left ear. (the phone isn't stereo, so the headphones aren't either.)
It's great for a car headset. Works great with my blackberry. A little pricey at $79 or so, but worth it. But please, don't leave the car with them on your head...
