World’s Largest Photo Taken with GigaPan Epic Pro

Portland, OR—The breathtaking image of Paris that set the record as the world’s largest digital panorama at 26 gigapixels has now been superseded by a record-breaking image taken of Dubai, according to GigaPan. The gigapixel image, which can be viewed at photo-sharing site GigaPan.org, topped out at 45 gigapixels. If printed, the photo would be the size of nearly 1,200 billboards. Amazing Lion Photos From Photographer Who Submerged Himself in Watering Hole for Months

A very daring wildlife photographer, Greg du Toit, was so determined to shoot the perfect image of wild lions drinking, he submerged himself in their watering hole for three months. He endured a year of failed attempts at getting just the right picture. He tried building hides and dug trenches near the animals' drinking spot, but never got the pictures he was yearning for. Finally he decided to take the plunge and climb into the murky watering hole with his camera and got the shots of a lifetime.
