Go postal - design and send custom postcards with iPhone or computer

This may be the coolest iPod app I've ever seen. GoPostal is a service app for iPhones that allows you to snap a photo, compose your own custom message, and send a postcard from your phone or computer. It's dirt cheap and more fun than summer craft camp.

Made by a company called Print Your Life the app can be accessed at their website (click on Design a postcard from your computer). You can create an account or be a guest. The process takes seconds and the resulting postcard is not an e-card, it's mailed through the post office. Cost of postage and printing is included at $1.29.

You can also download the app from the Apple Store. the app is free, the postcards are priced as above.

One of the first reactions I've received from people when they see the Zune is the bright and big screen. This was true back before iPhone/iTouch arrived, but I still think it's a great screen compared to the normal iPods. It is decent to watch videos on, but most of the time I listen to music so the screen doesn't really matter that much.

Isn’t part of the joy of receiving a postcard the stamp and cancellation — knowing that it was actually delivered from some foreign land?It seems like a cool service, but if it’s going to be printed and mailed from a service center nearest to the recipient, then why not just deliver it electronically?Answering my own question: because we don’t yet have electronic displays that you attach to the refrigerator with magnets.

I have a confession. I have an immense collection of postcards that never reached their intended recipients. Lack of postage, a complete address or even motivation have turned countless scribbled postcards into nothing more than bookmarks in my guidebooks.

But now there's no excuse. New apps make it ridiculously easy to send a photo postcard from your phone. I checked out a few of the free ones.nice to know from you as well..keep posting

the crowd there is a real mixture, and a lot of times, kinda weird AKA making it one of the better people watching restaurants (definitely recommend the seats outside for my fellow creeping yelpers. Every time I have been there, I ALWAYS feel like everyone else is coming from Sunday service.
