Cologne, Germany—On display at photokina 2010 is the new Olympus E-5 digital SLR, which the company says is built to meet the “rigorous demands of professional photographers and experienced amateurs.” The E-5 provides HD video in an E-System DSLR for the first time, capturing 720p HD video at 30 fps. Panasonic Introduces Lumix GH2 - Hybrid 3D Camera

Interesting news today from Panasonic, the company will offer an interchangeable lens camera that supports 3D recording (both for stills and video). 3D is definitely the hype dejure among consumer electronics manufacturers (and you can read all about 3D cameras here) but it remains to be seen whether or not it will catch on in a big way. Olympus Shows Prototype of Flagship Compact with Built-in Zuiko Lens at photokina

Center Valley, PA—Olympus is developing a new flagship compact camera that will be the company’s first digital compact camera with a built-in Zuiko lens.
