Polaroid Instant Camera Is Back

Ok, so this isn't technically a digital camera but we'd be remiss not to mark the re-introduction of a Polaroid instant film camera. The Polaroid 300 costs $89 and uses10-packs of instant film ($9.99) for those classic Polaroids that many of us grew up with. Panasonic Announces Prices on G-Series Lumixes

Panasonic announced prices on their new G2 and G10 interchangeable lens cameras. The G2 will fetch $799 while the G10 will set you back $599. You can read all about the cameras here. 

Canon USA Extends Explorers of Light Program to Cinematographers -Five New Cinematographers and One Still Photographer Added to the Program

Canon USA added five renowned cinematographers and one photographer to the company’s Explorers of Light program, which is an illustrious group of influential, imaging professionals who serve as ambassadors for Canon products. The addition of the cinematographers, reports Canon, “further solidifies the importance that Canon’s EOS HD video products have played in the industry. Microsoft Kin: A Camera Killer?

Microsoft's latest foray into mobile phones was announced yesterday. The "Kin" phone is obviously a shot at Apple and Microsoft has chosen to emphasize photography and social networking as their differentiating hook. So, how good are the cameras? On paper, not too shabby. There are two Kin models. Kin One boasts 5-megapixel still pictures, a buitl-in flash and SD video recording. There's 4GB of internal memory to boot, but no memory card slot. Kin Two is more robust with HD video capture (720p), 8GB of onboard memory and an 8-megapixel camera with flash.
