Personally, I'm not sold on the video coming out of a digital SLR - at least with the models I've tried. Of course, if it's a choice between d-SLR video and no video, clearly you're better off using the d-SLR. But if you think even a high-end d-SLR is a suitable replacement for even a mid-range HD camcorder,
you're mistaken. (But don't feel bad.)
