Casio Showcases High-Speed 10x Zoom EX-FH100

Casio is debuting four new Exilim digital models, each building on its tradition of delivering technological innovation and creativity to users. Joining the Exilim EX-H15, EX-Z2000 and EX-Z550, with their enhanced dynamic photo function, is the High Speed Exilim EX-FH100.  The EX-FH100 is a compact 10.1MP camera with a 24mm wide-angle 10x optical zoom lens. VistaQuest Debuts Colorful Underwater VQ8900 Digital Camera

VistaQuest unveiled its fully functioning digital waterproof camera, the VQ8900, at a price point that will fit into any vacation budget. Sigma Relaunches Website

We're not the only ones freshening up our Web presence: camera and lens maker Sigma has updated their Website. You'll find a few interactive tools, such as a Lens finder, some social media tools and a new Sigma Lounge, where you can share your photos and read the Sigma blog for the straight dish from the lens gurus.

HP Re-enters Digital Camera Market

They're baaaaack. HP that is. After a hiatus from the digicam market, the company is back with new cameras and camcorders. Here's a look at the digital cameras. Canon Updates Rebel D-SLR

Canon's updated its popular Rebel series of digital SLRs last week with the Rebel T2i. You can get the full details here. Some of the highlights of this 18-megapixel monster include 1920 x 1080/30fps HD video recording, 3.7 fps burst mode, a max ISO of 12,800, a 3-inch LCD and a wealth of controls. Look for it in March for $899 with lens, $799 without.

Digital SLRs That Record Video

Digital cameras are no stranger to video recording, but it's been only recently that digital SLRs have begun to offer the capability. Now USA Today is reporting that there are a growing number of film-makers who are using digital SLRs (and a host of new accessories) to shoot films with. Nikon Intros 26x Optical Zoom

Not to be outdone, Nikon has just announced its own ultra-zoom digital camera - the Coolpix P100. This 10-megapixel model boasts a 26x optical zoom lens (26mm-678mm) lens and a 3-inch LCD. Like Fujifilm's HS10, Nikon's P100 boasts impressive Full HD video recording at 1920 x 1080 as well as the ability to shoot still images at bursts up to 10fps. There's a slow motion mode as well, which snaps 1.1-megapixel photos at 100fps. Among its other in-camera goodies, you can merge multiple exposures into a single shoot to improve the dynamic range.  Look for it in March for $399.

Samsung NX10 - Light and Sweet!

While at CES, I had a chance for a hand's on with the new Samsung NX10. While it's not really an DSLR, it sure does act like one!  With interchangeable lenses and a many of the controls you'll find on a DSLR, it's a great choice for serious photographers looking for a lighter, more comfortable alternative. Samsung is doing a great job with their cameras lately (have you seen the DualView, with the LCD on the front as well as the back?)  Here's a quick video with Rich Campbell from Samsung explaining the detail of the new Samsung NX10.
