Delkin Adds Class 10 SDHC Memory Card

With the growing popularity of flash-memory based camcorders, not to mention the soaring popularity of digital SLRs, higher capacity and faster flash memory cards have never been more in demand. This week Delkin Devices introduced new SDHC Cards with a Class 10 (or 24MBps) speed rating. While they're dubbing them "video-ready" the truth is no camcorder owner needs a Class 10 card (a Class 6 will handle even the highest bit-rate video from an HD camcorder). D-SLR owners, however, are another story. They definitely have the need for the speed these new cards can deliver. The cards will be available...

Western Digital Intros New External Hard Drives

The most important thing consumers don't do is back up their images. Hard drive crashes can strike at any minute (trust me on this) and when they do, you'll be glad you've made back-up copies of your pics. To that end, external hard drive maker Western Digital just announced a new set of My Passport Studio drives. You'll find capacities from 320GB to 640GB with prices from $149 to $199. They offer Mac/Firewire 800 and USB 2.0 connections, on-board software for syncing with desktop folders and an "e-label" which displays data about the drive even when it's powered down. See...
