The Pana-Vue Pana-Scan picture and business card scanner enables users to quickly convert pictures up to 4x6 inches into 5 megapixel digital images without a computer. Business cards can also be read by OCR software and saved to a database, converted to vCard, imported into an Outlook address book, saved in Excel format or saved as a JPEG.
The device, distributed by Argraph, allows consumers to turn shoeboxes of photos into digital images they can print, share, e-mail, archive and use to create photo products. Users can store all of their images and contacts on an SD card or USB flash drive, and they can use the scanner as a card reader to transfer them to a PC.
The scanner is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7 and Mac OS. It uses a computer’s USB 2.0 port for both communication and power when it is used to read images on a memory card.
Pana-Vue’s Pana-Scan picture and business card scanner comes with: ArcSoft MediaImpression software for PC/Mac to edit, crop and enhance photos; ArcSoft BizScanner OCR software (PC) to read and manage business cards; an AC adapter; and USB cable.
