Bento for the iPhone

Speaking of great iPhone apps for Biz Fast Trackers, I'm happy to see that one my favorite business organizational programs is now available for the iPhone. Called Bento -- it's named after those traditional Japanese "box" lunches -- the program is a great way to sync your digital calendars, special projects, expenses, client lists, billing, shipping info, and many other tasks in one piece of software. Known as the little brother to Filemaker Pro, Bento 2 is a very simple but surprisingly robust database program for running a small business. (Great for freelancers, such as yours truly!) The new Bento...

Crumpler Hee-Goer Laptop Bag -- A Review

I don't know what it is about Crumpler laptop bags that I like so much. They aren't, necessarily, the most practical bags out there. Though they look pretty sharp, it seems that every bag I've tried from Crumpler has some kind of design flaw which, while usually relatively minor, is just irritating enough to make me wonder -- what were they thinking? They certainly aren't the cheapest bags out there either. There's one jumbo model from Crumpler called the Brazillion Dollar Home which retails for nearly $300 while the standard sizes typically sell for $100-200. And while I generally like the fun...

My Five Favorite iPhone Apps for Biz Fast Trackers

Though I'm still not crazy about the touchscreen keyboard -- bleh! -- I continue to be amazed at how much easier my Biz Fast Tracker lifestyle has become since I bought an Apple iPhone 3G. Though Blackberrys -- particularly the Blackberry Bold -- are still champs for email power users, the iPhone has the competition beat for overall functionality thanks to its incredible selection of applications from the iPhone "App Store."  And while the impulse with the App Store is to pick up as many of these cool though occasionally useless applications as you can get your hands on --...

Turn Your Airline Barf Bag Into an iPhone Holder

If you've ever tried to watch a movie or video on your iPhone on an airplane, you know your arm can get mighty tired after just a few minutes of holding the screen in front of your face. Though there are tons of iPhone holders you can buy, why spend money when you can just make one from available materials in your airline seat? Though it's a little crude, this do-it-yourself airline "barf bag" holder (see picture) seems as good as anything for nesting your iPhone so you can sit back and watch episodes of "The Office," even when you're not...

Stylish Apple Cufflinks for Geeky Biz Fast Trackers

Along with being up on the latest mobile gear, Biz Fast Trackers should also have a good sense of style, even if it's of the decidedly geeky sort. To that end, check out these very cool (and yes, super geeky) vintage Apple keyboard cufflinks made from a rare Apple III computer. Though these guys are a little pricey -- $75 for the set -- the keys come off the integrated keyboard of a 1980 Apple III which sold for $8,000 in its day. Find out more from Geekware. Also, I'd like to mention I first found out about these cufflinks from...
