How to Photograph Sports -- Nikon Podcast with John Iacono

As a photographer who loves sports, this is something that gets me very excited. At DemystifyingDigital.com this week, we are exclusively hosting a Nikon podcast with legendary Sports Illustrated photographer John Iacono. "Johnny I," as he's known, shares some gem stories about shooting sports on the podcast including how he got beaned during a Mets vs. Diamondbacks playoff game. Nikon D3000 Digital SLR Review: A DSLR for Beginning Photographers

Check it out: DemystifyingDigital.com has posted my review of the new Nikon D3000 digital SLR, a camera that's designed for people who want to learn more about photography. The Nikon D3000 DSLR has a built-in Guide Mode that walks beginning photographers through the basics of photgraphy as they capture beautiful images. HDTV Scam: It Was Really an Oven Door in Disguise

You've heard of the old "bait and switch," well here's a new twist: cover an oven door with plastic and a lot of Best Buy stickers and try to sell it as an HDTV. That's what cops say a California man did in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart this week where the alleged scam artist was trying to sell what he claimed was a 37-inch Sony HDTV for $100. Toshiba Goes Blu-ray; World Does Not Stop Turning

Yes, Toshiba, one of the main companies behind the now defunct HD DVD standard, announced this morning that it was finally switching teams to the Blu-ray disc format. The move was seen as inevitable after Blu-ray defeated HD DVD back in 2008 and the world of high definition discs has gradually gone "Blu." Along with announcing it has applied for membership in the Blu-ray Disc Association, Toshiba said in a brief press release that it "plans to introduce products that support the Blu-ray format" such as "BD players and notebook PCs intergrating BD drives."
