Cool Photo Essay: Inside a Blu-Ray Factory

Speaking of Blu-ray, an Australian news site has posted a great photo essay on how Blu-ray discs are made. The essay, which walks you from the very beginning when each disc starts its life as "a collection of small polycarbonate granules," was shot at a new Sony Blu-ray factory that opened up near Sydney, Australia. Control a Blu-Ray Disc with Your iPhone

I just finished writing a story about the "Five Best Blu-Ray Players Under $200" when Universal Studios announces it's added some new Blu-ray bells and whistles to the forthcoming release of Fast & Furious. The latest trick? If you have an iPhone or an iPod Touch and a Blu-ray player that can connect to the Internet, you can control some of the features on the two-disc Fast & Furious release.
